Education is a system of learning which can either be formal or informal. This is defined in simple terms as the process of becoming literate by the virtue of reading, writing as well as speaking. Education is very vital in our daily lives, it is paramount in making the most of any social relationship both as individuals and corporate bodies. Literacy or education is a tool which skills derived from can be used as a means of exchange with other precious substances. Anything of value must be bought at a price, so is education. Nothing of great value is ever given out free else, it loses its worth.

No teacher would deliver to their full expectations on an empty pocket, as the students are at the receiving end. The educational sector is a part of the major sources of mass employment.

Most institutions have laid down their visions as well as mission during inception, most of which money is acquired to make that happen. Scholarship programs of different kinds, ranging from free sponsorships to paid sponsorships, require funds to carry them out. The educational curriculum, known as a “scheme of work”, has the need for grants to map them out as external intelligence would be adopted to make this possible. Activities like charity with giving schemes are adopted in most of these organizations so that’s why we see the bills are expensive in some parts of America.

Facilities and equipment is a major reason education is not free in certain systems. When a school is founded, it cannot be situated under a tree or in the road path, it must be under a building. Before this building is erected, a plan must be made, either graphically or pictorially. After the plan has been made, materials and equipment for building it would be needed, then when they arrive, human labor would also be needed to a large extent. Finally, when the school building is completed, facilities and equipment need to be put in place. All of the above listed require funds both internally and externally.

Taxes together with rates coupled with land use charges by the government. This is collected either monthly or yearly based on the system of government in a particular nation. In this, businesses, organizations coupled with corporate bodies are meant to pay a particular percentage of these taxes to the government of the country they are in so as not to be evicted from the land. Schools as well as institutions have to meet up with this without depreciating in their educational outputs therefore, they increase the prices of school fees with other fees related to it.

With these, we now see the reason behind the costs of education as well as its systems. Through this, they can source funds for themselves without placing much burden on the government or external international bodies. The major disadvantage in this is the increase and the prices of the fee. In some developing countries, schools are divided into private and public. The public is majorly free and open to the less privileged of all the people engrafted by poverty.
